Saint Cecilia Sacred Art
Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of musicians. I painted this sacred artwork because my home Austin Texas USA is the Live Music Capital of the WORLD. Saint Cecilia is frequently depicted playing a viola. Cecilia symbolizes the central role of music in the liturgy. Her feast day is an occasion for musical concerts and festivals, of which we have plenty to celebrate in Austin Texas, including ACL Fest, SxSW, etc.
