Fort Davis State Park in the Davis Mountains of West Texas is home to the remarkable Indian Lodge Hotel, which was built by the Civilian Conservation Corpse during the New Deal and is now operated by Texas Parks & Wildlife. The building is in the style of an adobe pueblo, features a wonderful swimming pool, and is located in one of the most remote nature areas in the State of Texas. McDonald Observatory is visible from the peak above the Lodge. Some of the clearest, bluest skies in the world!
