Farrah Fawcett, Artist
A native Texan, Farrah Fawcett attended The University of Texas between 1965 and 1968 majoring in art. There is a well-known anonymous photograph of Farrah working in the studio of UT Art professor and famed sculptor Charles Umlauf.
While famed for her beauty and dramatic roles on screen, Farrah Fawcett was a very accomplished artist and her artworks, sculptures and painting, have been on display and received acclaim.
Art Inspired By Art
A common theme of my artwork is “art inspired by other art;” i like to portray paintings in situ, with people viewing the art, and i like to paint artists making art, whether it be visual or musical. In this painting, i felt as if i was actually making art along with Farrah across time, and it was very satisfying experience.
