When i first saw this form, while playing disc golf with my artist friend Chris Barnes on his property in Ruidoso, NM, i thought this was something he constructed. When I asked him & his wife Celeste what they called it, they said, “It’s a culvert.” Apparently it was part of massive debris that flowed down the mountain in a storm and was to large to remove. Self-made art which inspired this painting.
